National Launch 23 April 2007
There was a major national launch of the more maths grads project on 23 April 2007.
Speakers included:
- Professor Adrian Smith, principal of Queen Mary, University of London and author of the influential Smith Report inquiry into post-14 mathematics
- Sir Peter Williams, founder of Oxford Instruments and Chair of the Advisory Committee on Mathematics Education (ACME)
- Professor Celia Hoyles, Government Chief Adviser for Mathematics
- Kate Bellingham, former presenter of Tomorrow's World and trainee maths teacher
- Helen Orr, Project Manager for more maths grads
- Jane Imrie, Acting Director of the National Centre for Excellence in the Teaching of Mathematics
