Careers Theme

More maths grads will emphasise the career options opening up to students who take their mathematical study beyond GCSE. The project will improve understanding of mathematics and its applications, from designing racing cars, through finance and business to modelling bird flu.

In particular, it will highlight the many doors open to graduates with a degree in the mathematical sciences.

The project will develop a series of high quality careers resources for use by students, teachers and careers advisors. Employers and universities will have direct input into these.

The resources will be available nationally on the mathscareers.org.uk website, which will be extensively redeveloped as part of the project.
