HE Curriculum
Part of the mission of more maths grads is to re-evaluate the curriculum in mathematics in higher education. Sheffield Hallam University has undertaken a national study to assess what universities should cover and to increase the scope of mathematics courses to allow real choice for a wide range of students.
The study has also been looking at the learning, teaching and assessment methods used by university mathematical science departments to see if students can be better supported in their studies.
Courses are also being evaluated to see if they give graduates the generic skills that employers seek.
