WHAT’S IT ALL ABOUT ?!
More Maths Grads has launched 'Maths - Make the Difference', a UK wide programme showcasing how recently qualified Maths teachers are working on increasing the uptake of maths and enthusiasm for it.
On 1st July 2009 there will be a one day maths exhibition held at the University of Hertfordshire as part of the MEI national conference, where teachers will get to present their work / findings on their exhibition stands.
If you are someone who supports learners in any 11+ education setting, we would like to hear from you!
All teachers want the best for their learners.
The aim of the Maths Expo will be to allow recently qualified Maths teachers (up to 4 years) to contribute ideas and experiences of what they have ALREADY done to enthuse and motivate their learners in maths.
The main outcome of the Expo will be to allow trainee maths teachers and newly qualified maths teachers, to learn what others are using that is making a difference in the teaching of maths, as well as allowing excellent networking opportunities.
Taking part will allow you and your establishment to be recognized for your innovative ideas and practices. We will publish the best suggestions and make them widely available. Of course there will be prizes too!
